A destination wedding in Goa offers more than just a stunning location — it brings together the laid-back charm of the coast, the luxury of curated experiences, and the vibrant energy of celebration that only this state can offer. From palm-fringed beaches and forested backdrops to world-class hospitality and imaginative design, Goa becomes a living canvas, and this wedding took full advantage of its possibilities. Every element — from the décor and setting to the joyful spirit of the guests — came together to create a truly unforgettable experience.

For any couple considering a destination wedding in Goa, the sheer range of experiences is staggering. From intimate ceremonies under palm trees to grand beachfront receptions, the possibilities are endless — especially when you’re working with an experienced destination wedding photographer in Goa who understands how to capture both scale and emotion.

Planning a destination wedding in Goa can take many forms. Some couples opt for a casual beach affair, while others go all in, partnering with seasoned wedding designers to create something truly immersive. I’ve witnessed countless weddings in Goa over the years, but I must admit, the decor and execution by the Crosscraft team pushed the boundaries of everything I thought I knew. From the rustic forest-themed Mehendi setup to an extravagant engagement celebration on the beach, and an indoor club transformed for the after party — day one set the tone with style and flair. For a moment, it was hard to believe we were still in Goa.

A Destination Wedding in Goa That Felt Like a Festival

But this wasn’t just about scale or aesthetic. Behind the impeccable design was one of the most joy-filled, high-energy celebrations I’ve ever documented. The Bhatia and Kapoor families arrived from Delhi with a clear mission — to throw an unforgettable party. And they delivered.

Raahil and Pia have shared years of friendship, and that long history was evident in the sheer number of mutual friends who showed up ready to celebrate. Add in their Punjabi spirit, and this love story turned into a full-blown festival. Everything — from the decor to the food, the music, and the energy — felt like it had been crafted to reflect their story. And the Baraat? Easily the wildest and most joyful I’ve ever seen — it went on for over two hours!

Here’s a look at day one: the champagne lunch set in a forest wonderland, the beachside Teeka and engagement, and a wild after party that wrapped it all up.

Stay tuned for part two, where I’ll share highlights from the wedding day — beginning with the ‘Aloha’ Haldi lunch at The Dunes, the epic Baraat, and a beach ceremony finale that felt like something out of a dream.

A big congratulations to Raahil and Pia — not just for pulling off such a spectacular destination wedding in Goa, but for beginning a new life together surrounded by so much love. It was a joy to be part of this incredible celebration.

RAAHIL & PIA’s wedding- PART 1

The evening events took place on the beach, and again, a super beautiful set up for the engagement ceremony. The bar was the centre of activity for a while, until the gorgeous couple walked in for the main event.

After the engagement ceremony on the beach, the party moved indoors for the after party, and a performance by Vishal & Shekhar. I must admit that I have not heard of them before, age I guess (wink), but the crowed went absolutely crazy.
